Gifts of Stock

Make an even greater impact with a gift of appreciated stock.

Donating stocks, bonds, or other appreciated securities is a meaningful way to support the Medway Food Pantry and help provide food and essential resources to our neighbors in need.

For donors, a gift of appreciated securities may also offer tax advantages. When securities that have increased in value are donated directly to a qualified charitable organization, donors may be able to avoid capital gains taxes and receive a charitable deduction for the fair market value of the gift, subject to applicable tax rules.

When making a stock transfer, please also let us know your name, the name of the security, and the number of shares being transferred. This is important because brokerage transfers may not include enough information for us to identify the donor and properly acknowledge your gift.
